Prada At Vitkac.com Luxury Online Store

Vitkac continues to broaden its global luxury offering with the arrival of Prada, the iconic Italian fashion house, to its distinguished roster of international designers.

WARSAW, Poland, Sept. 16, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Vitkac is expanding its presence in global luxury fashion with the addition of Prada, bringing one of Italy’s most influential fashion houses to the European retailer’s growing portfolio of internationally recognized designers.

The new partnership represents more than the addition of another luxury label. For Vitkac, Prada strengthens a strategy centered on developing relationships with the fashion houses that have both shaped the history of luxury and continue to influence its future.

Prada joins a Vitkac designer portfolio that includes names such as Miu Miu, Balenciaga, Fendi, Valentino, Givenchy and other leading international houses. Vitkac’s current platform spans luxury clothing, footwear, bags and accessories across men’s and women’s fashion.

“Prada is a particularly important addition because very few brands have been able to maintain this level of influence across so many generations,” said Mateusz Ciba of Vitkac. “Our customers are looking for established luxury houses, but they are also looking to us to understand which designers and collections matter. Prada fits perfectly within that philosophy.”

From a Milan Boutique to a Global Fashion Institution

Prada’s history stretches back more than a century.

Mario Prada founded the company in Milan in 1913, opening its original store inside the historic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. The boutique initially specialized in luxury travel goods, leather accessories and finely crafted products for an affluent European clientele. By 1919, Prada had been appointed an official supplier to the Italian Royal Household.

The transformation of Prada into the international fashion house recognized today accelerated when Miuccia Prada and entrepreneur Patrizio Bertelli began working together in the 1970s. Their combination of creative direction and business development provided the foundation for Prada’s international expansion.

Prada subsequently expanded well beyond leather goods. Its first women’s ready-to-wear collection debuted in 1988, while 1993 brought both Prada menswear and the creation of Miu Miu. In 2020, Raf Simons joined Miuccia Prada as co-creative director of Prada, adding another chapter to the house’s creative evolution.

What has distinguished Prada throughout that evolution is its willingness to challenge conventional definitions of luxury. Prada itself describes a philosophy built around experimentation and the reinterpretation of established aesthetic codes rather than simply following trends.

That combination of heritage and continued cultural relevance is precisely what makes Prada significant to Vitkac’s approach to luxury retail.

Vitkac Builds Around Curation, Not Volume

Vitkac has developed a different proposition from the increasingly crowded online luxury marketplace. Rather than measuring its strength simply by the number of brands or products available, the Warsaw-based retailer has increasingly emphasized curation, selecting fashion houses and collections it believes deserve a place in the wardrobes of contemporary luxury consumers.

The company’s roots are in physical luxury retail in Warsaw, while its online platform has extended that European retail heritage to customers internationally. “We don’t believe the future of luxury e-commerce is simply putting more products on a website,” Ciba said. “Luxury customers want access, but they also want perspective. They want someone to narrow the field and identify what is exceptional. Our relationships with houses like Prada, Miu Miu and Balenciaga allow us to do that with greater authority.”

That philosophy also extends to Vitkac Club, the company’s loyalty community of more than 80,000 active members, giving Vitkac an established audience of luxury consumers to whom it can introduce new collections, designers and fashion ideas.

Prada Partnership Adds Momentum to Vitkac Vanguard

The growing depth of Vitkac’s designer relationships is also becoming increasingly important as the company prepares to introduce Vitkac Vanguard, its forthcoming editorial and fashion-discovery initiative. Vanguard is intended to move Vitkac beyond the traditional boundaries of luxury e-commerce.

The concept is based on a relatively simple advantage: Vitkac already has direct commercial relationships with many of the fashion houses about which luxury consumers want to learn.

Relationships with Prada, Miu Miu, Balenciaga and other international houses give Vitkac a vantage point that differs from that of a conventional fashion publication or an online marketplace. The company participates directly in the luxury ecosystem, selecting collections and observing how consumers interact with designers across markets.

Vitkac Vanguard is expected to use that position to explore designers, collections, emerging trends and the broader ideas influencing contemporary luxury.

“Vanguard comes from our belief that luxury retail should also be about discovery,” Ciba said. “Our relationships with the fashion houses give us an opportunity to tell a much broader story. We can introduce a customer to a Prada collection today and also help that customer understand the designers, ideas and movements that may influence what luxury looks like tomorrow.”

That distinction could become increasingly valuable as luxury consumers encounter an enormous volume of fashion content through social media, marketplaces, influencers and traditional publications. Vitkac’s opportunity is to connect content directly with commerce and established relationships within the fashion industry.

Prada Illustrates What Vanguard Can Become

Prada is particularly well suited to that model because its influence extends beyond individual products. Over its history, the house has repeatedly intersected fashion with architecture, art, film and contemporary culture. Prada Group describes the brand’s creative philosophy as drawing inspiration from disciplines including art, photography and film while continually reconsidering established ideas of style.

Its experimentation has also moved into unexpected areas. In 2024, Prada and Axiom Space presented their collaboration on the spacesuit being developed for NASA’s Artemis III lunar mission, an unusually literal example of a luxury fashion house applying its design and material expertise beyond fashion. This broader cultural dimension represents the type of story Vitkac Vanguard can explore.

Instead of focusing exclusively on what consumers can purchase, Vanguard can examine why particular houses remain important, how designers influence culture, which collections are changing consumer tastes and which emerging brands may become the next generation of global luxury names.

A Broader Luxury Ecosystem

The Prada partnership therefore represents another step in Vitkac’s evolution. The company’s e-commerce platform remains the foundation, offering luxury fashion across categories ranging from women’s designer bags and footwear to men’s luxury sneakers, clothing and accessories. But Vitkac is increasingly building additional layers around that commerce: loyalty through Vitkac Club, discovery through its curated designer portfolio, and soon editorial authority through Vitkac Vanguard. Prada adds considerable weight to that strategy.

“Having the right fashion houses matters,” Ciba added. “But what ultimately differentiates Vitkac is what we do with those relationships. We want to create a place where someone can shop Prada or Miu Miu, discover another designer they may not have considered, and eventually come to Vitkac Vanguard to understand where luxury fashion is heading next.”

For Vitkac, the objective is increasingly clear: not to become the largest luxury marketplace, but to become one of the most trusted curators of global luxury fashion. The addition of Prada brings the company another step closer to that goal.
