Once upon a time, it made sense to load up on streaming services instead of lengthy and expensive cable contracts. If you’re not careful these days, you can easily find yourself paying just as much to piece your watchlist back together, especially with prices continuing to creep up.
That’s why we’re thankful this season for streaming deals like the ones from Hulu, which sets you up with ad-supported streaming for just $1 a month over the next 12 months (normally $9.99 a month, saving $108 on the year), or lets you bundle that with Disney Plus for $3 a month over the same period ($131.88 off). That’s typically a once yearly deal, and your chance to take advantage will promptly leave the station after today.
Hulu is one of the best streaming services if you enjoy shows from a variety of broadcast TV networks. It offers next-day streaming from several channels, a deep on-demand library of older shows and movies, originals like The Handmaid’s Tale, news and sports bytes, and more. With Disney Plus, you can catch up on Star Wars and Marvel, watch kid-friendly movies and shows from Disney and the likes of Pixar, check out recent releases like Deadpool & Wolverine, and access a bevy of National Geographic content.
Don’t forget that other streaming services are still discounted with deals similarly drying up soon. Through December 4th, for example, you can get Paramount Plus with Showtime for $2.99 for the next two months ($22.99 off over that period). It grants ad-free access to CBS live sports and events, plus over 40,000 pieces of on-demand content, including shows, movies, and Showtime originals.
