Knowledge Universes, senior-transition resources and post-closing support are being developed to help property owners navigate probate, foreclosure, inherited property and other difficult situations.

ATLANTA, Sept. 11, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Riv Buys Properties, a family-owned real estate solutions and investment company, today announced the development of a broader seller-support platform designed to help property owners understand and address complex real estate situations before, during and after a transaction.

Operating across Georgia, Washington, California, Florida, Texas, Colorado, Tennessee, North Carolina and South Carolina, the company is building what it calls Knowledge Universes: digital resource ecosystems focused on situations including probate, senior transitions, foreclosure, inherited property, executor responsibilities, landlord challenges, distressed properties, military relocation and title complications.

Rather than functioning as conventional blog libraries, the Knowledge Universes are being developed to include plain-English education, guides, checklists, worksheets, videos, decision pathways, professional resources and practical website tools. The goal is to help owners understand their situation, organize next steps and make better-informed decisions before they are asked to make a transaction.

“A person may come to us thinking they have to sell and discover that keeping the property, refinancing, renting it, resolving a title issue, or listing traditionally makes more sense. Helping someone understand that is still a successful outcome for us.”

Support Beyond a Property Purchase

For owners who do choose to sell, Riv Buys Properties evaluates a wider range of assets than a typical residential cash buyer, including houses, land, multifamily properties, commercial buildings, hotels, churches, shopping centers, malls, warehouses, unfinished developments and other complex real estate.

The company also positions senior transitions as a distinct area of support. For older adults and their families, a property sale can be one component of a larger move involving downsizing, belongings, relocation, caregiving, senior living, estate matters, deferred maintenance and financial planning. Riv Buys Properties maintains professional connections across the nine states in which it operates to help families identify resources for different parts of that transition, while each professional remains responsible for services within their own licensed area.

Post-Closing Support Is Part of the Model

Riv Buys Properties is also developing continued support for sellers after a transaction, including connections to financial-planning resources, transition assistance and opportunities for people who want to better understand real estate and wealth building. The company says the objective is to avoid treating the closing table as the end of the relationship.

“I do not want someone to leave closing with money but no direction. If we were trusted with the property during an important transition in someone’s life, I want us to remain in their corner and help set them up for success afterward.”

Founder Experience Informs the Seller-First Approach

The company’s current model is informed by Orivri’s family history in real estate and by firsthand experience with foreclosure and displacement. Her grandfather, Daniel Asaba Igbe, worked as a real estate developer in Lagos, Nigeria, and her mother and aunts later continued the family’s involvement in development and real estate. Her father built a relocation company after moving to the United States.

In 2010, Orivri’s father’s house went into foreclosure. After a serious automobile accident in 2021 left him unable to earn the income he once did, the family later experienced housing loss and homelessness. Those events helped shape Riv Buys Properties’ emphasis on giving owners clarity around the problem surrounding a property rather than treating every inquiry solely as an acquisition opportunity.

“I know what it feels like when a property problem is connected to something much bigger. People need more than someone trying to buy their property. They need clarity, dignity, and a real path forward.”

Orivri has led six renovation and resale projects across Georgia, Texas, California, Washington and Colorado, with hands-on experience spanning acquisitions, design, renovation, contractor management, financing, operations and resale. Riv Buys Properties is also a Better Business Bureau Accredited Business.
