Michael Pace Presents Butch Foshee with Winning Integrity Award

Michael Pace presents Butch Foshee with Winning Integrity Award at GAMOA annual awards dinner

Duluth, GA, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Pace-O-Matic and its founder, Michael Pace, have presented their signature Winning Integrity Award to Butch Foshee, former President of the Georgia Amusement and Music Operators Association (GAMOA).

Butch Foshee has been a longtime Georgia amusement operator and became GAMOA president in 2007. At the time, GAMOA was small with fewer than 30 members. The operator community was fragmented, and that made it hard to speak with one voice to legislators and regulators. Butch helped change that.

Foshee led conversations within GAMOA about embracing state regulation rather than remaining in an uncertain legislative environment. He and a small group of industry leaders began building the regulatory framework that ultimately led to legislation and acted as a catalyst for other states.

“Perhaps his most lasting contribution has been his work to help grow the industry’s relationship with government,” said Michael Pace, founder of Pace-O-Matic. “Under his guidance, the industry in Georgia became fully regulated and considered legitimate. Butch was instrumental in adopting a strategy of advocating for regulation. That is integrity—the willingness to do the hard, unglamorous work of establishing rules, growing an organization, and building trust.”

The Winning Integrity Award recognizes individuals in the amusement industry or related fields who exemplify the highest standards of integrity. Recipients are those who consistently demonstrate honesty, fairness, and ethical conduct in all aspects of their professional endeavors. The mission of the award is to recognize not just what one achieves but how they achieve it.

“I love this industry – the leadership of our team and the new members. The accolades that Michael laid out, those accomplishments, there were a lot of people that are involved in that work, but we got it done,” said Foshee. “I enjoy this industry, and I thank you all.”

The award was presented to Butch at the GAMOA’s Annual Southern Amusement & Entertainment Expo dinner. This is the sixth Winning Integrity Award presented by Pace-O-Matic. Previous recipients include Larry Hilimire of Stanton Automatics in New York, The Honorable Tom Walters, former legislator in Wyoming, Paul Goldean, President and CEO of Pace-O-Matic, Marty Glazman, amusement industry legend, and Danny Frank, executive director of the AMOA-NY.

Mark Twain once famously said, “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.” The Winning Integrity Award celebrates those who live by this example. The award is embodied in a stunning piece of hand-blown glass art, featuring a clear, luminous structure with intricate layers and varying colors. Every award is a unique art piece, and no two are alike.
