The company building America’s fully autonomous ground force becomes a sponsor of America’s Game

SEATTLE, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Overland AI®, a world leader in ground autonomy for defense, has signed on as an Associate Sponsor of the Army-Navy Game presented by USAA. This partnership brings together those who will shape the future of the armed forces and those building the technology designed to support them.

At Overland AI, we believe that a human should never be sent to do a job a robot can do.

Overland AI’s role as the Official Ground Autonomy Partner of America’s Game underscores the need to equip service members with autonomous ground vehicles (AGVs) capable of outmaneuvering adversaries and extending standoff. Our industry-leading off road autonomy stack, OverDrive®, and our growing fleet of AGVs, including ULTRA™, are built to augment the nation’s forces.

The 2026 matchup between the Army Black Knights and the Navy Midshipmen will be played on Saturday, December 12, marking the 127th installment of one of the most storied rivalries in American sports. Overland AI will have a robust presence on and off the field throughout the season.

“I’ve seen what it costs to send someone into harm’s way,” said Chriz Merz, chief of staff to Overland AI’s CEO and West Point graduate. “Joining this longstanding tradition is our way of standing with the people who choose to serve something greater than themselves.”

“We are thrilled to welcome a partner focused on arming tomorrow’s warfighters with the tools they will need on the modern battlefield,” said Michael Kelly, Director of Athletics at the U.S. Naval Academy. “Overland AI’s support as the Official Ground Autonomy Partner of the game reflects the critical role autonomous systems will play in protecting our forces.”

“This partnership unites two organizations committed to supporting the people who defend our nation,” said Tom Theodorakis, Director of Athletics at Army West Point. “Overland AI embodies the values the Army-Navy Game has long celebrated, and we are honored to have them officially support America’s Game.”

Overland AI joins presenting sponsor USAA, participating partners Chevrolet, Exchange, Duke Cannon Supply Co. and Palantir, and associate sponsors The American Legion, X BAT and Persistent Systems in supporting Army-Navy.

Supporting this game is one small way to be there for the people Overland’s work is ultimately for.
