Kate Bell, NCC, LPC
OXFORD, Miss., Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Oxford Treatment Center is pleased to announce the promotion of Kate Bell, NCC, LPC, to Outpatient Clinical Manager. Bell first came to Oxford Treatment Center as a patient and returned years later to support others in recovery. Now 7.5 years into long-term recovery, Bell brings a unique perspective to her new role and an understanding of the challenges patients face as they prepare to transition back into everyday life.

Bell joined the Mississippi treatment center as an intern in 2021 before being hired as a weekend case manager later that year. Since then, she has steadily advanced through a variety of clinical roles, including Counselor I, Counselor III, and, most recently, Program Manager. In her new position as Outpatient Clinical Manager, Bell will oversee clinical operations for Oxford Outpatient while supporting patients as they prepare for greater independence in recovery.
Bell believes outpatient care is a critical part of the recovery journey. She recalls outpatient as the time when she had to begin sitting with her thoughts and emotions while learning how to navigate early recovery.
“There is so much to process in early recovery, and it can be overwhelming,” said Bell. “Outpatient is where you begin transitioning back into the community and learning how to live life again. That’s where I feel I can have the greatest impact. My vision for the program is to teach our patients how to find community and purpose because I believe those are two of the biggest factors in building and sustaining recovery.”
Oxford Treatment Center’s outpatient programs are designed to help patients continue building the skills and support they need as they transition toward greater independence and life in the community. The program typically consists of approximately 30 days of standard programming, with some patients remaining in care for 40 to 45 days based on individual needs. The majority of patients stay in supportive housing on campus.
“Without substance use treatment, I would not be here today,” said Bell. “I want our patients to understand that they are not the sum of every good or bad decision they’ve made. Recovery gives people an opportunity to decide what comes next.”
A National Certified Counselor (NCC) and Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Bell earned her Master of Education in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Mississippi and holds a Bachelor of Science in English Education from Blue Mountain College.
