TORONTO – Raptors swingman RJ Barrett was upgraded to day-to-day, two days ahead of Toronto’s home opener.
The Mississauga, Ont., native has been out with a sprained shoulder since the Raptors’ first pre-season game on Oct. 6.
Toronto hosts the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday at Scotiabank Arena to kick off the NBA’s regular season.
Raptors head coach Darko Rajakovic says that Barrett and rookie combo guard Ja’Kobe Walter both practised today.

Walter missed the entire pre-season, also with a sprained shoulder, and Rajakovic says he is week-to-week.
Barrett averaged 21.8 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists over 32 games for Toronto last season after getting traded from the New York Knicks on Dec. 30.
