Experienced health system leader with care and coverage focus joins Banner to advance strategic and performance goals

PHOENIX, Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Banner Health announced today the appointment of Kevin Manemann as executive vice president, chief operating and transformation officer. The appointment brings meaningful operational and transformational leadership depth to one of the nation’s largest nonprofit health systems and strengthens Banner’s ability to expand access, advance value-based care and deepen the commitment to communities served. Manemann will join Banner in October.
In his new role, Manemann will drive Banner’s operational and transformation agenda, working across the enterprise to align priorities, strengthen decision-making and drive the innovation and execution needed to meet the challenges of today’s healthcare landscape.

Manemann brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience across some of the country’s most complex health systems. Most recently, as EVP and chief operating officer at Sutter Health, he oversaw systemwide operations, driving performance, expanding access and integrating care across a large, multi-site system. Prior to Sutter, as EVP and chief operations and integration officer at City of Hope, he led a multistate comprehensive cancer system, delivering improvements in quality, patient experience and financial performance. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly 20 years with Providence Health in California, rising to lead its South Division and earning national recognition for quality across multiple specialties.

Manemann holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership with an emphasis in servant leadership from Gonzaga University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business.
