ASPEN, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Cardo Systems, a global leader in wireless communication for riders, today introduced Cardo SYNC, a lightweight, open-ear communication system that easily attaches to most cycling helmets, giving riders a simple way to stay connected to their group, listen to music, hear navigation prompts from their smartphone and take hands-free phone calls — all while remaining aware of their surroundings.

Designed for commuters, active riders and social riders, Cardo SYNC is built to fit naturally into the way people already ride. Its discreet design mounts directly to most open-face cycling helmets and works with most cycling eyewear, making it easy to add communication without changing a rider’s helmet or other essential gear.

Whether riding to work, training for an event or meeting friends for a weekend ride, cyclists increasingly rely on their smartphones to navigate, listen to music, stay in touch and manage their day. Cardo SYNC brings those everyday connections together in a purpose-built system designed specifically for cycling, while its open-ear design allows riders to hear what’s happening around them. For commuters, Cardo SYNC provides hands-free access to music, phone calls and navigation prompts from a connected smartphone while helping riders remain aware of surrounding traffic. For active riders, its lightweight design, cycling-specific audio and advanced wind noise reduction deliver clear communication and sound through long days in the saddle. For social riders, Cardo SYNC makes it easy to stay in conversation with the group, whether riding side by side or spreading out over the course of a ride.

At the heart of the experience is Cardo’s new Cellular Intercom technology, riders can create or join a group through the Cardo Connect app, allowing up to 30 people to communicate wherever cellular service is available. Unlike traditional rider-to-rider communication, which can be limited by the distance between devices, Cellular Intercom is designed to keep the group connected as riders naturally spread out and come back together throughout a ride.

“Cyclists shouldn’t have to change the way they ride to stay connected,” said Asaf Schnitzer, head of Outdoor Business at Cardo Systems. “We designed Cardo SYNC to fit into the experience people already have on the bike. Whether they’re commuting to work, training for an event or riding with friends, Cardo SYNC attaches easily to the helmet they already use, keeps them connected to the people and information that matter, and lets them stay present in the ride.”
