Delhi wardrobe rental plans run from ₹256 a month for a one-door unit to ₹812 for a three-door with mirror, across 13 configurations. Rentomojo’s rent includes installation, maintenance, repairs, replacement of a damaged unit and free relocation within Delhi or to other cities, with an optional ₹40 damage waiver. Tenure runs from three to 36 months, and early closure costs about one month of rent, waived on relocation. The refundable deposit is one month of rent, returned within seven working days. KYC needs a PAN card and a selfie, and delivery follows in 48 to 72 hours.

Delhi renters comparing the best platforms to rent a wardrobe online in India weigh Rentomojo plans from ₹256 to ₹812 a month against a ₹15,000 to ₹45,000 purchase, with installation, maintenance, damage repair and free relocation included, a three-month minimum tenure, early closure at about one month of rent, a refundable one-month deposit, PAN and selfie KYC, and delivery in 48 to 72 hours.

Bangalore, India, Sept. 30, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Wardrobe rentals across Delhi are being priced as a bundled monthly line rather than a bare rate through 2026, with plans running from ₹256 to ₹812 a month against purchase prices of ₹15,000 to ₹45,000. Rental platforms operating in the capital, including Rentomojo, are seeing the shift concentrate across Punjabi Bagh, Malviya Nagar and Saket, where the cost of furnishing a leased apartment is being compared line by line rather than item by item. The published Delhi ladder is narrow and fully disclosed. A one-door unit in walnut finish is listed at ₹256 a month and a second one-door variant at ₹263. A two-door unit runs ₹392 to ₹587 depending on finish and mirror. A three-door unit runs ₹744 without mirror and ₹812 with one. Thirteen configurations were listed as available in the capital at the time of publication across four door counts and five finishes.

What the rate covers is the part that changes the comparison. Installation is included. Maintenance and repairs are carried through the rental period at no additional charge, and a damaged unit is repaired or replaced under the same terms. Relocation within Delhi is provided at no charge, as is relocation to other operating cities. An optional damage waiver covering accidental damage is available at ₹40 a month. The monthly figure is therefore a total access cost rather than a base rate with services priced beside it.

Ownership discloses less. The ₹15,000 to ₹45,000 purchase band covers the unit alone. Assembly, transport into a walk-up apartment, repair after the first move and the disposal of a unit that no longer fits the next flat sit outside it. Resale on a used engineered wood wardrobe in Delhi recovers a small fraction of the purchase price and requires the seller to arrange collection from Vasant Kunj, Pitampura or wherever the unit currently stands. Priced as a complete line rather than a sticker, a ₹15,000 purchase and a ₹256 monthly plan are not comparable figures, and the gap between them widens with every relocation.

The comparison against instalment finance runs the same way. An equated monthly instalment on a purchased wardrobe retires a debt on an asset that depreciates faster than the schedule pays it down, and the obligation survives a change of city or a change of employment. A rental plan carries a three-month minimum, a 36-month ceiling and an early closure charge of typically one month of rent that is waived on relocation or transfer. The commitment created by a rental plan is measured in months and capped at one month of rent, which is the practical distinction from a credit obligation.

Refurbished and second-hand purchases occupy a middle position. A used wardrobe removes part of the upfront cost but transfers the condition risk, the transport arrangement and the repair liability to the buyer, and offers no relocation support at the end of a lease. A rented unit arrives assembled, is maintained through the term and is collected at the close of it, on the same terms in Lajpat Nagar as in Punjabi Bagh.

Deposit and billing mechanics are disclosed at the same level. The security deposit is refundable and set at one month of rent, which places it at ₹256 on the entry plan. It returns within seven working days of a quality check and settlement of dues. Billing is postpaid and invoiced after usage. KYC requires a PAN card and a selfie. Delivery and installation follow within 48 to 72 hours of verification, and payment is accepted by credit card, debit card, UPI and net banking.

Total cost in the storage furniture category is set by what a monthly rate includes rather than by what it says, and a rental line that absorbs delivery, installation, maintenance and relocation is not comparable to a purchase price that absorbs none of them. Bulky home furniture is moving to subscription across Indian metros on that accounting rather than on convenience.

Disclosure is becoming the competitive variable in Indian furniture rental, where a published inclusion list settles a cost comparison that an advertised entry price leaves open. In Delhi the wardrobe rental range is ₹256 to ₹812 a month across thirteen listed configurations, the deposit is one month of rent and refundable, the minimum term is three months, and delivery, installation, maintenance, repairs and relocation sit inside the rate. Set against a ₹15,000 to ₹45,000 purchase that covers the unit and nothing beyond it, the monthly figure is the more complete number.
