New season brings together lived experience and expert perspectives from across the foster care community

Greensboro, NC, Sept. 29, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Children’s Home Society of North Carolina (CHS) is excited to announce the launch of Season 2 of its podcast, In Real life: Foster Care Unfiltered, bringing listeners even more conversations, stories, and insights from across the foster care and child welfare landscape. The second season will launch October 6, 2026.
Season 2 features an impressive lineup of guests representing a broad range of perspectives. Listeners will hear from foster parents, adoptees, former youth in care, kinship caregivers, social workers, child welfare leaders, advocates, and other experts dedicated to strengthening outcomes for children and families.
Following a successful first season, In Real Life: Foster Care Unfiltered is also expanding from two episodes per month to a weekly release schedule, providing deeper exploration of the issues, challenges, and triumphs that shape the experiences of children and families in foster care.

Throughout the season, guests will explore topics including foster parenting, adoption, permanency, youth voice, mental health, sibling connections, family preservation, community support, and the long-term impact of caring relationships.
