Samsung’s Frame Pro TV has hit a new all-time low before Black Friday

Samsung’s 65-inch Frame Pro is $1,447.99 ($752 off) — a new all-time low — at Woot. The 75-inch model is $1,897.99 ($1,302 off), also an all-time low at Woot. The TV’s main attraction is its “Art Mode,” which cycles through a gallery of famous paintings when you’re not actively using it. The artwork on the TV’s matte QLED display looks more like an actual painting display than they would on an LED or OLED screen.

Art mode requires a subscription ($50 per year) to access. Once you have an account, you can select the paintings you’d like to display, including world-famous works like Vincent van Gogh’s The Starry Night. Samsung refreshes the Art Store’s library, so you should check back often to see if a new painting catches your eye. There’s also a chance your favorite painting could get delisted, so it’s best to have plenty of options picked out.

Colors will look less vibrant on the Frame Pro’s matte screen than on a TV with an OLED or LED panel, but it also shows less glare from the sun or indoor lights. It displays thick bezels around artwork in Art Mode, but an edge-to-edge image when you’re watching videos or playing games. Samsung includes both a stand and wall mount for the TV, though we recommend using a wall mount if you want it to look more like an actual painting.

The Frame Pro only has one built-in HDMI port. Four additional HDMI ports — plus two USB-A ports, a coaxial port, Ethernet port, and optical audio port — are on the included Wireless One Connect Box. You connect your devices to that box, and it sends the audio and video from your game console or other gadget to the TV wirelessly. There’s some latency, but it shouldn’t be noticeable unless you’re playing a first-person shooter or fighting game that relies on precisely-timed inputs to win.
