1,168 matched subject ratings show predicted grades rising from 4.81 to 5.58, while 86% of surveyed students preferred RevisionDojo.

RevisionDojo’s IB learning platform, featuring its suite of syllabus-aligned study, coursework, AI-powered learning, and progress-tracking tools.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — RevisionDojo, a learning platform used by more than 650,000 students and teachers across 4,000+ schools, has launched its 2026 Back to School Update, introducing a redesigned set of tools for IB revision, coursework, AI-supported learning, and progress tracking.

The update follows findings from RevisionDojo’s May 2026 State of Learning Survey, which included students from 258 schools. Across 1,168 matched subject ratings, average predicted grades increased from 4.81 to 5.58. Sciences recorded the largest subject-group increase at +1.01, followed by humanities at +0.90. Overall, 83.4% of students reported an increase in their average predicted grade, with an average gain of 0.77 points.

Among 105 students who reported full diploma scores, the average predicted total increased from 31.10 to 34.95 out of 45. Students who began with predicted grades between 1 and 3 reported an average increase from 2.47 to 4.25, while those starting between 4 and 5 reported an increase from 4.48 to 5.48.

The findings are based on self-reported survey responses and are observational. They describe reported changes during the survey period and do not establish that RevisionDojo alone caused the changes.

“We built RevisionDojo to be a true one-stop shop for the entire IB Diploma. This year, students will get that system more complete than ever,” said Michael Tong, Co-Founder and CTO of RevisionDojo. “Now that it’s fully in place, we expect IB grades to climb even higher than what we’re already reporting.”

What’s New in the 2026 Back to School Update

The redesign brings together several tools for academic preparation and coursework, including:

  • Coursework Studio: A dedicated workspace for drafting and refining IAs, EEs, and TOK essays.
  • Research Jojo: Coursework structures and AI-supported feedback designed to assist students with research and source evaluation.
  • 3,000+ IA, EE, and TOK examples: Real examples for students to use as references when preparing coursework.
  • IO speaking practice: Recording, transcription, and criterion-based grading for oral assessment preparation.
  • Updated syllabus-aligned textbooks: Textbooks with animations and recap questions aligned with current IB content.
  • Cheatsheets and Ask Jojo: Subject cheatsheets with integrated access to the Jojo AI assistant.
  • Teach Jojo: A voice-based learning mode that asks students to explain topics in their own words.
  • New Math resources: Exercise videos and step-by-step solution walkthroughs.
  • Ultra Hardcore Questions: Higher-difficulty practice for students seeking additional exam preparation.
  • Jojo with Memory in Chat: An upgraded AI assistant designed to retain context across a session.
  • Advanced analytics: Focus areas and a Mistakes Log to help students identify areas for further study.
  • Study Timer, progress tracking, and leaderboards: Tools designed to support consistent study and progress monitoring.

The update also includes more than 50 additional improvements, including updated flashcards, advanced search, new case studies, essay model answers, an English Literary Hub, a refreshed citation tool, Essay Marker, Jojo Pets, IA/EE/TOK guides, new videos, five new subjects, updated subject grade boundaries, new data booklets, and an AI & Plagiarism Checker.

The survey also included teacher feedback. Ten of 12 matched teacher respondents reported lower stress after using RevisionDojo, with average stress scores decreasing from 3.92 to 2.33 on a five-point scale, representing a reported 40.4% reduction.

Student Experiences

Students surveyed also shared their experiences using the platform.

“I started Biology at a level 4 and ended up scoring a level 6. Seeing that progress over the semester made a real difference to the way I approached the subject.” – Jusleen, Branksome Hall, Canada

“Math AA HL went from a 4 to a 7. My scores increased across the board.” – Karim, International College, Lebanon

“I got into Brown University with a 44 predicted IB grade. RevisionDojo was my study buddy, especially for IB Chem, Bio, and Math AA HL.” – Desen, Istanbul International School, Turkey

Methodology: The 2026 State of Learning Survey included 364 students from 258 schools, with 215 complete and 149 partial survey responses. The results are based on self-reported and observational data.
