Real-time protection combines prompt inspection with identity, data and business context, so organizations can safely adopt AI without slowing down

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla., Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Reco, the Agent Ecosystem Security Company, today announced general availability of Reco Browser Guard, a runtime security layer that protects enterprises from prompt injection, data leakage and unauthorized actions triggered through browser-based AI use. Browser Guard inspects prompts and agent activity, correlates them with Reco’s context on the user, data and the business environment, helping security teams stop risky actions before they expose sensitive information or initiate unauthorized workflows.

Employees now use AI assistants, copilots, coding agents, and autonomous workflows throughout the day, with most of that activity starting in the browser, rather than in tools security teams already monitor. A prompt that appears harmless can introduce significant risk once it’s tied to who sent it, what data it contains, and where it’s headed. Browser Guard adds security context by identifying the user, data, destination, account type, and business purpose behind every interaction.

Detecting shadow AI. Browser Guard also exposes the AI tools, browser extensions, and personal accounts employees use outside approved channels. Security teams gain visibility into which tools are in use, who’s using them, if the account is corporate or personal, and whether business data is being shared in them.

Built for agents, not just prompts. Agents don’t stop at a prompt. They retrieve context, call tools, and take action on a user’s behalf, extending risk beyond what someone typed. Browser Guard evaluates the identity behind an agent’s action, the data it accesses, and whether the behavior fits company policy. It then gives security teams the ability to detect, guide, block, or stop the activity before data is exposed.

“AI security is not just about knowing which tools employees use,” said Ofer Klein, co-founder and chief executive officer of Reco. “Security teams need to know what data enters each interaction, what an agent can reach and whether its next action should be allowed. Browser Guard enforces policy decisions in the browser, where AI use is actually happening, with the context needed to stop risky activity before it creates exposure.”

Reco Browser Guard is available now. Learn more at reco.ai.
