Pillsbury Pizza Pops Pepperoni and Bacon products recalled across Canada

Four Pillsbury Pizza Pops Pepperoni and Bacon products have been recalled across Canada due to possible E. coli O26 contamination.

Health Canada says these products were sold across Canada and people should not consume, use, sell, serve, or distribute the products.

The following products have been recalled:

Pizza Pops Pepperoni + Bacon, 30 pizza snacks (2.85 kg), UPC – 0 69052 12961 9 with a Better if used by codes – 09JN2026WN; 10JN2026WN.

Pizza Pops Supremo Extreme Pepperoni + Bacon, 30 pizza snacks (three kg), UPC  – 0 69052 46901 2 with a Better if used by codes – 10JN2026WN; 11JN2026WN; 12JN2026WN

Pizza Pops Pepperoni + Bacon, eight pizza snacks (760 grams), UPC 0 69052 12967 1 with a Better if used by codes – 09JN2026WN; 10JN2026WN

Pizza Pops FRANK’s RedHot Pepperoni + Bacon, four pizza snacks (380 grams), UPC 0 69052 12947 3 with a Better if used by code – 14JN2026WN

Health Canada says that food contaminated with E. coli O26 may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick.

“Symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps and watery to bloody diarrhea. In severe cases of illness, some people may have seizures or strokes, need blood transfusions and kidney dialysis, or live with permanent kidney damage. In severe cases of illness, people may die.”
