LONDON, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —

The company adds new local payment methods across Europe, Latin America and Africa, extending a crypto exchange that already serves 180+ countries, as global demand for compliant crypto exchanges with broad local payment coverage grows.

Paybis, a global crypto exchange and B2B payment infrastructure provider, today confirmed a new bench of local payment methods added to its exchange. Over the past two years, the company has steadily added region-specific payment methods to its exchange – from Brazil’s instant-payment system PIX and Kenya’s mobile money network M-Pesa, to Chile’s Webpay and Poland’s BLIK – with the goal of making crypto purchases easier, wherever a customer happens to be.

The latest addition is MB WAY, the mobile payment method used by more than 5 million people in Portugal and supported by roughly 95% of the country’s banks. Customers can now confirm a crypto purchase with the same phone number and PIN they already use for everyday payments, skipping card entry and bank-transfer wait times entirely. It is a small addition on its own, but it illustrates the pattern behind Paybis’s growth strategy: rather than asking the world to adapt to a handful of international rails, we are adding dozens of local ones.

A Global Push Behind a Local Launch
The MB Way integration lands alongside a wider set of upgrades to Paybis for both individual and business customers, including faster identity verification and broader currency coverage. Paybis now supports more than 20 local and international payment methods (like PIX, FPS, BLIK, M-Pesa, Webpay, SPEI and MB WAY) and over 90 cryptocurrencies across more than 70 fiat currencies.

“Every region has its own habits around money: a phone number and a PIN in Portugal, a QR code in Brazil, a mobile wallet in Kenya,” Paul Afshar, Paybis Growth Lead commented. “Our philosophy is making crypto easy – each new local payment method we add is one more reason for someone to buy, sell or swap crypto with Paybis.”

What’s Next
Paybis says further local payment integrations are planned across European markets: from Finland to Italy, over the coming months, alongside continued investment in its stablecoin settlement and treasury tools for enterprise clients. The MB WAY launch in Portugal is live now; users and partners can request access to the full Paybis network, including its crypto wallet infrastructure, through the company’s business portal.

About Paybis
Paybis makes crypto simple for individuals and enterprises. Established in 2014, the company combines a trusted crypto exchange and wallet – to buy, sell, swap and hold over 90 cryptocurrencies – with award-winning crypto-fiat infrastructure. This infrastructure empowers businesses to transfer capital globally, eliminating traditional payment friction.

In 2026, Paybis was recognized as the Best Crypto Payment Provider, a testament to our expansive global reach, rapid onboarding protocols, and the deep expertise of the 200 dedicated professionals who drive our operations.

Processing more than $6bn annually, Paybis is one of the most efficient platforms for acquiring and transacting in digital assets. This commitment to operational excellence is why Paybis maintains one of the highest ratings for crypto companies on Trustpilot, and why 7 million users and hundreds of the world’s fastest-growing enterprises consistently rely on our services.
