TORONTO, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Available now via the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store, the Official App of the Canadian Football League (CFL) presented by theScore Bet, delivers the full three-down experience on the go. The app represents the next phase of the league’s digital transformation that kicked off with the launch of the new website ecosystem.

“The importance of modernized technology cannot be overstated in today’s sporting landscape. As expectations evolve and fandom deepens, it’s essential that we deliver a mobile-first experience that meets people where they are. The new CFL app puts the league, our teams and our players at fans’ fingertips, making it easier than ever to discover, follow and engage with Canadian football. Today’s launch represents a major step forward for our league,” said CFL Commissioner Stewart Johnston.

The app is the ultimate mobile destination for Canadian football, bringing fans closer to the game. Available in both English and French, the app delivers real-time scores, breaking news, highlights, stats, fantasy integration and exclusive content in one seamless mobile-first experience. Whether following a favourite team, tracking player performance or staying up to date with the latest developments from around the league, fans can access everything CFL, all in one place.

“As presenting partner, theScore Bet is proud to support the new CFL app,” said Justin Hergianto, Vice-President, Marketing, PENN Interactive. “It’s an exciting step forward for the league and how fans can follow the sport.”

To celebrate the launch of the app, the CFL has opened the App to End Zone contest. Until October 24, users are invited to go on the offensive and take possession of the ball by downloading the Official App of the CFL. From there, simply navigate the home screen “field” and run the app icon into the “end zone” – the home row of fixed apps at the bottom (the dock on iPhone and the favourites tray on Android) – for a touchdown.

Take a screenshot of the app in the “end zone” and comment the image in response to designated Facebook, X or TikTok posts or submit via the contest website. A screenshot will be selected at random with the image of the “winning touchdown” earning the ultimate prize: a trip for two to the 113th Grey Cup, including roundtrip airfare, three nights accommodation, tickets to the big game and a VIP on-field experience in the end zone.

The 113th edition of Canada’s largest annual single-day sporting event from McMahon Stadium in Calgary on Sunday, November 15, will kick off at 6 p.m. ET/5 p.m. MT.
