Charlotte, NC, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Charlotte, N.C. — The North Carolina Captive Insurance Association (NCCIA) has honored Martin Eveleigh with the Lane Brown Award, recognizing his significant contributions to the captive insurance industry and his role in advancing and shape the industry over the course of his career.

Leon Rives, Chief Visionary Officer with RH CPAs, presented the award to Eveleigh on behalf of NCCIA at the organization’s annual conference held August 23-26 in Charlotte.

The Lane Brown Award honors the legacy of Brown, a founder of NCCIA and an important figure in the development of the captive insurance industry. The award is reserved for industry leaders whose careers, leadership and contributions have had a lasting impact on the captive insurance community.

“This award is about recognizing the titans of our industry, the people who did more than participate in its growth; they helped make that growth possible,” said Rives. “Martin is an outstanding example of that kind of leadership. His contributions have helped move the captive industry forward, and it was a privilege to present him with an award that carries Lane Brown’s name and legacy.”

The award also serves as a reminder of the pioneering spirit on which NCCIA was founded. Brown and the association’s other early leaders helped lay the foundation for North Carolina’s captive insurance community while contributing to the industry’s broader evolution.

“Lane understood the potential of captive insurance and the importance of bringing people together to build an industry that could endure,” Rives added. “Honoring Martin connects that legacy with a leader who has continued the work of advancing the captive industry. That is exactly what this award is intended to represent.”

NCCIA congratulates Eveleigh on receiving the Lane Brown Award and recognizes his lasting contributions to the captive insurance industry.
