A healthy baby boy was born Friday morning in Centretown with some help from Ottawa police and paramedics.
The Ottawa Paramedic Service says paramedics received a call around 7:15 a.m. reporting a woman was in active labour inside a building. Paramedics did not provide details about the address.
Shortly after paramedics arrived, the baby was born.
“The mom did most of the work,” Ottawa paramedics spokesperson, Marc-Antoine Deschamps, told CTV News Ottawa.
Paramedics note that they helped with post-natal care, along with Ottawa police officers.
Both the baby boy and the mom are doing great, according to paramedics.
They were taken to hospital in stable condition.
“Congratulations to the family,” the Ottawa Police Service said on X.
