An esteemed Winnipeg dancer graced the stage once again last week, more than eight decades after her debut.
Lily Guberman, 102, took part in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet’s annual production of ‘Nutcracker’ in full costume.
“I loved it. I always loved dancing,” Guberman said on Monday. “Such a good, good, wonderful feeling with the music and the people.”

Guberman, who turns 103 next month, was a member of the original Winnipeg Ballet Club in 1939, which later became the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.
Following her performance, she was gifted a bouquet and was able to meet with fans.
“It’s a very happy feeling to dance,” she said.
The performance was special for Guberman, as her daughter travelled from British Columbia to see her dance.
