New TFX capabilities surface relevant freight opportunities while representatives work with carriers

Highway – Network Intelligence

Highway brings TFX and Lane Intelligence directly into the broker workflow with Network Intelligence

DALLAS, Aug. 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Highway today announced Network Intelligence, a new set of TFX capabilities that brings TFX and Lane Intelligence directly into the broker’s existing carrier sales workflow.

Rather than requiring representatives to stop what they’re doing and search for capacity or freight opportunities separately, Network Intelligence surfaces the broker’s most relevant available freight while they are already working with a carrier. Representatives can quickly see where that carrier fits across their network, uncover additional opportunities, and turn a single conversation into a broader discussion about available freight.

The result is Lane Intelligence embedded into the work carrier sales representatives already do every day.

“Carrier reps shouldn’t have to bounce between screens, searches, and TMSs while they’re working with a carrier,” said Mark Ford, Chief Capacity Officer at Highway. “We’ve built a tremendous amount of intelligence into TFX, and Network Intelligence brings every available opportunity a broker has for that carrier into one place — so reps spend their time on the conversation, and brokers get more out of the carriers they already trust.”

Highway introduced Lane Intelligence to give brokers a more informed way to source capacity, using Highway’s network and matching signals to help identify relevant carriers for a lane. Network Intelligence expands that model by bringing TFX and Lane Intelligence into additional points in the broker’s workflow.

Instead of always starting with a search, representatives can start with the carrier or load already in front of them and immediately evaluate relevant freight opportunities across both networks.

Network Intelligence includes four capabilities:

  • Top Matches surfaces Highway’s highest-confidence freight opportunities for a carrier based on the carrier’s network and Highway matching signals.
  • Near Destination highlights available loads near the destination of an in-focus load, helping representatives identify the next opportunity to keep carriers moving.
  • Similar Lanes identifies available loads that closely match the origin and destination of an in-focus load, making it easier to uncover additional freight opportunities on familiar lanes.
  • Areas of Interest allows representatives to instantly evaluate available loads for locations or lanes a carrier has expressed interest in serving. Ongoing interests can be saved as Capacity Indicators, so Highway automatically identifies and surfaces matching opportunities as new loads become available.

A representative discussing one load with a carrier can identify similar freight, look for the carrier’s next opportunity, evaluate lanes the carrier wants to run, and see Highway’s strongest matches — without having to piece those opportunities together manually across separate searches and systems.

“Good carrier sales reps are already trying to make these connections every day,” said Mark Ford, Chief Capacity Officer at Highway. “They know that a carrier relationship is more valuable when the conversation isn’t limited to one shipment. We’re giving them the information to have that broader conversation faster and make more intentional use of the carrier network they’ve already built.”

That approach is designed to support more strategic carrier utilization. Instead of treating every load and every carrier interaction as an isolated transaction, brokers can more easily understand how a carrier’s network, preferences, and current movement intersect with freight available across their business.

For Highway, Network Intelligence represents the next step in the evolution of TFX.

TFX connects brokers with identity-verified carrier capacity. Lane Intelligence made Highway’s network data more actionable by helping brokers understand which carriers fit a specific lane. Network Intelligence brings those capabilities deeper into the broker’s day-to-day workflow, surfacing relevant opportunities at the point where representatives can act on them.

The goal is simple: less searching for opportunity and more opportunity surfaced within the work brokers are already doing.

Network Intelligence is available to TFX customers. For more information about TFX, visit highway.com.
