CHICAGO, Sept. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Giordano’s, the iconic Chicago pizza brand known for its world-famous stuffed deep dish, is kicking off the school year with “Making the Grade with Giordano’s,” a back-to-school campaign designed to celebrate and support the schools, educators, and communities helping students succeed.

Now until September 26, community members nationwide can nominate a school through Giordano’s Back-to-School Giveaway School Nomination Form, also available through the link in Giordano’s Instagram bio, for the chance to receive back-to-school support from Giordano’s. Following the nomination period, the three schools receiving the most nominations will be announced on September 26 and advance to a final round of voting on Giordano’s social media channels to determine the winners.

The first-place school will receive $1,000 toward school supplies, while the second- and third-place schools will each receive a Giordano’s pizza party for up to 50 faculty and staff members.

The campaign coincides with National Attendance Awareness Month in September, during which Giordano’s is also partnering with Rang, an attendance rewards platform that helps schools motivate students and families to build stronger attendance habits through personalized goals and rewards.

As part of the partnership, Giordano’s and Rang will launch attendance-focused challenges across Rang partner schools. The partnership is designed to bring additional attention to chronic absenteeism, one of the most significant challenges facing schools today, while giving students and families a fun, positive way to start the school year engaged and motivated.

“Attendance is foundational to everything that happens in school, and the beginning of the year is such an important time to build strong habits,” said Brian Malkin, Co-Founder and CEO of Rang. “We’re grateful to Giordano’s for using a brand students and families already know and love to show up for the Chicago community in such a meaningful way.”

Giordano’s is also giving families a break from the back-to-school hustle with its Pizza Hall Pass, an exclusive Club Gio offer available through September 30. Club Gio Rewards members can receive $10 off a $40 purchase on weekdays, giving families an easy way to check dinner off the homework list during busy school nights.

“Back-to-school season is an exciting time, but we know it also takes an incredible amount of work from teachers, school staff, and families to set students up for success,” said Meghan Parra, Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at Giordano’s. “Giordano’s has always been about bringing people together, and Making the Grade gives our communities a fun way to rally around their local schools and recognize the people who make a difference for students every day.”

Together, Making the Grade with Giordano’s, the Rang partnership, and Pizza Hall Pass extend the brand’s back-to-school celebration beyond the classroom by supporting schools, recognizing educators, and giving busy families another reason to gather around the table.

ABOUT GIORDANO’S
Based in Chicago, Giordano’s World Famous Deep-Dish Pizza has been serving its world-famous stuffed pizza for over 50 years. Committed to uncompromising quality, Giordano’s sources Wisconsin mozzarella from local farmers within a 50-mile radius for a creamy, buttery melt, hand-picked Mendocino County tomatoes for a naturally sweet sauce, and specially milled, unbleached flour from Minnesota for its signature crust. All recipes are crafted in-house with no added nitrates, MSG or fillers. Giordano’s has been consistently recognized as Chicago’s Best Pizza by NBC Chicago, CBS Chicago, The New York Times, Chicago Tribune, and more.
