Excited anticipation turned into disappointment for Toronto Blue Jays fans as the team failed to clinch the World Series in Game 6, but there is still hope for Saturday’s decisive game.

The Blue Jays lost to the Los Angeles Dodgers 3-1 on Friday, muting the festivities at the Rogers Centre, where fans had anticipated a momentous night.

The Jays were leading the series 3-2 and looking to hoist the Commissioner’s Trophy for the first time in more than 30 years.

Game 7 will be played Saturday night in Toronto.

Before the first pitch on Friday, the atmosphere inside and outside the ballpark was electric, with some fans saying they had travelled for hours to be part of the experience.

Millions of fans across the country are also cheering on the Jays from their homes, bars and watch parties.
