Established by board-certified cardiologist Dr. Sergio Sokol, M.D., FACC, the scholarship will award $1,000 to a student who demonstrates a strong commitment to pursuing a career in medicine and serving others through compassionate healthcare.

Currently serving as Chief of Cardiology at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital and maintaining a private cardiology practice in Cedarhurst, New York, Dr. Sergio Sokol has built a reputation for clinical excellence and compassionate patient care. The scholarship is open to undergraduate students, graduate students, medical students, and graduating high school seniors who have been accepted to an accredited college or university and intend to pursue a career as a physician.
