Damco Expands AI Capabilities Into P&C Insurance Solutions

Plainsboro, New Jersey, USA, Oct. 08, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Damco Solutions, a global IT services and insurance technology company, has expanded its AI capabilities into property and casualty (P&C) insurance solutions, starting with its P&C policy management software. The expansion applies AI to the policy lifecycle inside InsureEdge for P&C, Damco’s P&C insurance software that brings policy, underwriting, claims, and reinsurance operations onto a single foundation.

The move extends Damco’s earlier work on AI-driven insurance platforms into the core of P&C operations. P&C carriers, MGAs, and program administrators can now apply AI to policy issuance, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations across auto, property, and liability lines, while keeping the operational data behind those transactions accessible to underwriting, pricing, and claims teams.

Why P&C Insurers Are Bringing AI into Policy Management

P&C insurers are shifting technology budgets from customer-facing applications toward core systems and the data those systems produce. Underwriting pressure, catastrophe exposure, and the pace of rate filings all depend on how quickly policy and claims data reaches the teams that act on it.

Many carriers still run policy administration on legacy platforms that hold data in silos and require manual work for routine policy changes. In that setting, AI tools added at the edges deliver little, because the models cannot reach clean, current policy data. Damco’s approach places AI inside the P&C policy administration systems itself, where submissions, endorsements, and renewals originate.

Apply AI Across the P&C Policy Lifecycle

The expanded P&C capabilities center on InsureEdge’s policy management system and extend to the processes connected to it:

  • AI-assisted underwriting support. AI-based risk analysis helps underwriters review submissions and assess risk faster, while underwriters keep ownership of the final decision.
  • Intelligent document intake. AI and intelligent document processing extract and classify data from submissions, endorsement requests, and supporting documents, which cuts manual rekeying.
  • Automated policy servicing. Rule-based workflows handle issuance, endorsements, renewals, cancellations, and billing across auto, property, and liability lines.
  • Usable policy data. An open API library connects the policy core to billing, claims, accounting, and regulatory systems, giving downstream teams current coverage, premium, and payment data.
  • Connected claims and reinsurance. Claims run from first notice of loss through settlement, and reinsurance treaties and facultative arrangements are configured within policy administration.
  • AI agents for P&C operations. Through Damco’s intelligent agent development services, insurers can build custom agents for continuous risk assessment and workflow orchestration.

Implementations follow a phased plan. A core module such as policy or claims typically takes four to six months, with data extraction, cleansing, and validation handled as a managed migration.

Availability

The AI-enabled P&C capabilities are available now to carriers, MGAs, brokers, and program administrators through InsureEdge for P&C. Insurers can adopt the full platform or start with a single module, such as policy administration, and connect it to existing claims, billing, and rating systems through APIs.

The expansion builds on Damco’s insurance practice of more than 400 full-time consultants and its broader portfolio of AI-enabled insurance products, including BrokerEdge and InsuraCRM. Insurers can request a demo of the P&C policy management software at https://www.damcogroup.com/insurance/policy-management-software.
