New Cellular Cream Targets the Skin’s Physical, Biological and Chemical Barriers to Help Protect Against Sensitivity, Strengthen Resilience and Support Recovery

NEW YORK, Sept. 01, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Cellcosmet, the Swiss expert in cellular skincare, announces the launch of Ultra Sensitive, an advanced daily cellular cream designed to protect and reinforce the skin barrier when its natural defenses are compromised. Created for sensitive and sensitized skin, Ultra Sensitive goes beyond temporary soothing to support the skin’s three interconnected defense systems: the physical barrier to limit water loss and block irritants, the biological barrier to support microbiome balance, and the chemical barrier to neutralize oxidative stress. As a result, compromised skin is better able to retain moisture, defend against external stressors and build resilience over time.

Everyday factors including pollution, stress, lack of sleep, and environmental exposure can compromise the skin barrier, leaving it more vulnerable to redness, dehydration and irritation. Professional aesthetic treatments such as lasers, peels, and microneedling can also temporarily leave the barrier in a more vulnerable state. Ultra Sensitive helps reinforce and protect the barrier through periods of heightened sensitivity, while supporting skin health during post-procedure recovery when used in accordance with dermatologist guidance.

Independent instrumental clinical testing conducted on 33 volunteers demonstrated measurable improvements in skin health and barrier function with twice-daily use. Immediately after application, results showed:

  • Redness Reduction: A 5.2% reduction in visible redness.
  • Barrier Support: A 6.5% reduction in transepidermal water loss (TEWL), indicating improved skin barrier function.

After 28 days, results showed:

  • Hydration Boost: An 11.0% increase in skin hydration.
  • Barrier Support: A 17.0% reduction in transepidermal water loss (TEWL).
  • Redness Reduction: A 6.5% reduction in visible redness.
  • Enhanced Skin Resilience: Improvements in skin elasticity and firmness.
  • Inflammation Support: A reduction in inflammatory skin biomarkers associated with low-grade inflammation.

“Sensitive skin is often treated as a surface-level concern, but visible irritation can be a sign that the skin barrier itself has been compromised,” said Dr. Jérémie Soeur, Chief Science Officer at Cellcosmet. “With Ultra Sensitive, our focus was on addressing the barrier more holistically rather than simply calming the visible signs of sensitivity. By reinforcing barrier integrity, limiting moisture loss and supporting microbiome balance, we can help sensitized skin become stronger and more resilient over time.”

Ultra Sensitive takes a multi-pathway approach to skin barrier protection, pairing Cellcosmet’s proprietary CytoPep™ complex with targeted ingredients selected for sensitized skin. Prebiotics, Ceramides, and Microalgae Peptides help reinforce the skin’s natural defenses, while Allantoin, Immortelle, Hyaluronic Acid, and Fig Extract provide soothing hydration and comfort. Fragrance-free and formulated without retinol or Vitamin C, Ultra Sensitive is designed to provide effective daily care without introducing ingredients that may be unsuitable during periods of heightened sensitivity.

As Cellcosmet expands its presence across luxury hospitality and wellness, the brand is also bringing its cellular skincare expertise into the treatment room. As the lead skincare partner at The Cooper Hotel, Cellcosmet offers bespoke Swiss cellular facial treatments that complement its at-home skincare innovations. This expansion reflects Cellcosmet’s holistic approach to skin health, extending its cellular skincare expertise from daily at-home care to advanced treatment experiences.

Ultra Sensitive retails for $265 USD in the U.S., where it is available for purchase at Cellcosmet.com, Nordstrom and Amazon Luxury. In Canada, Ultra Sensitive retails for $370 CAD and is available exclusively at Holt Renfrew.
