CORTINA D’AMPEZZO – Canada’s Rachel Homan is playoff-bound at the Winter Olympics.

She guided her Ottawa-based women’s curling team to a 10-7 victory over South Korea’s Eunji Gim on Thursday.

The win secured a top-four finish for Homan, Tracy Fleury, Emma Miskew and Sarah Wilkes.

Canada scored four points in the sixth end and Homan made a hit for the win in the 10th to close round-robin play at 6-3.

Sweden’s Anna Hasselborg and Switzerland’s Silvana Tirinzoni had already qualified for the four-team playoffs entering the afternoon session.

The semifinals are set for Friday and medal games will be played on the weekend.
