FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Craig’s Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie

Straight up chocolate chip. The cookie that started it all! Yum!

TORONTO, CANADA, Sept. 03, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Craig’s Cookies, Canada’s fastest-growing premium cookie brand, is celebrating a major milestone with the opening of its 25th location in the heart of Port Credit, at 102 Lakeshore Rd. East. Mississauga. The new franchise- owned Craig’s Cookies is owned by Imtiaz Hussain. It is close to 1,500 square feet of warmth and décor that resembles your grandmother’s kitchen with nods to the East Coast.

This Craig’s Cookies marks another exciting chapter for the Toronto-born brand as it continues its rapid expansion across Canada. With locations now stretching from Ottawa and Hamilton to Barrie, and as far east as Halifax, Nova Scotia and St. John’s, Newfoundland, Craig’s Cookies has become a household favourite, delighting Canadians with its handcrafted cookies, bold flavours, and unmistakable community spirit.

The opening of the Port Credit (Mississauga) location was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting, attended by local dignitaries including Mississauga’s Mayor, The Honourable Carolyn Parish, and Ward 1 Councillor Stephen Dasko.

On Saturday, August 30th, the first 100 fans of Craig’s Cookies in Port Credit received a free Classic cookie. The lineup was happy to wait.
“Opening our 25th store is an incredible milestone that reflects the passion of our team, the dedication of our Franchise Partners, and the loyalty of our guests,” said Craig Pike, Founder of Craig’s Cookies. “We’re proud to continue growing while staying true to what has always made Craig’s Cookies special—great cookies, genuine hospitality, and creating spaces where everyone feels welcome.”

Founded in Toronto in 2013, Craig’s Cookies has evolved from a beloved neighbourhood bakery into Canada’s leading premium cookie brand. The company is renowned for its handmade cookies, baked with quality ingredients and featuring a rotating menu of more than 85 unique flavours, giving guests something new to discover with every visit.

Now, the brand has launched a new line of baked goods, including banana pudding available year-round, with a seasonal flavour introduced each month. Already featured have been the Strawberry pudding and the S’mores pudding, highlighted for the last month of summer in August and a fall-favourite pudding on the way.

As the company continues its national expansion, its franchise model has been designed to support long-term success through comprehensive training, operational guidance, marketing support, and strategic real estate assistance. The concept is suited to both traditional storefronts and non-traditional locations, allowing Franchise Partners to grow alongside one of Canada’s most beloved dessert brands. The Port Credit opening represents more than another location—it reflects the continued momentum of a Canadian success story built on quality, community, and entrepreneurial opportunity.
