The SAIA Project Awards recognize member companies that have gone above and beyond in contributing to the overall success of a project within the scaffold and access industry.

BrandSafway was a finalist for four projects in five categories, and won two awards this year:
- Industrial Collaborative
- Hangar One at Moffett Federal Airfield is one of the world’s largest freestanding structures, covering eight acres. The network of steel girders covered in galvanized steel is still considered an engineering marvel almost a century after it was first constructed.
- As part of the effort to revitalize this historic landmark, BrandSafway was commissioned by McCarthy Building Companies to collaborate on innovative scaffolding and access solutions for this enormous, historic symbol of Silicon Valley.
- BrandSafway installed 600 miles of Safway Systems scaffolding, 175K sq. ft. of QuikDeck® Suspended Access System, numerous personnel hoists, as well as more than 5,000 hours of engineering expertise, as part of the total solution provided.
- Mast Driven Hoists and Platforms
- For its owner, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), the nearly complete Harbor Bridge Replacement Project represents one of the most ambitious infrastructure projects in the United States. Once complete, the new Harbor Bridge will be both the tallest point in South Texas, with two massive pylons rising 538 feet, and the longest cable-stayed bridge in the United States.
- Flatiron/Dragados, LLC developed the project and subcontracted to BrandSafway. The BrandSafway team leveraged its internal engineering resources to design access systems that could adapt to the bridge configuration, phased construction schedule, and environmental conditions. The company provided QuikDeck® Suspended Access System platforms, the GASS® shoring system, and over 1,000 feet of custom stair towers.
In addition, these notable BrandSafway projects were finalists in the SAIA Project Awards:
- The Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center is a 200,000 square feet expansion of the California Science Center, featuring the world’s only authentic, vertical space shuttle stack, the Space Shuttle Endeavor, in a “ready for launch” configuration.
- BrandSafway’s integrated suspended access played a critical role in enabling safe and efficient installation of the cable tensioning systems that support the largest canopy roof in Major League Soccer at Miami Freedom Park Stadium. BrandSafway became the go-to access provider on site due to the team’s responsiveness, superior execution, versatility, and adaptability.
