Apple’s OLED transition could come with a more expensive iPad Mini

Apple is planning to outfit the iPad Mini with an OLED screen as soon as next year, coinciding with a price increase of as much as $100, according to Gurman. Carrying over the OLED display to other devices could take years, as Gurman reports that an OLED-equipped MacBook Air “isn’t likely” to arrive before 2028. Meanwhile, Apple is reportedly planning to upgrade the iPad Air last.

Those aren’t the only OLED upgrades Apple may have in store. Gurman reports that Apple is planning to bring the display technology to a touchscreen MacBook Pro that could arrive late next year or early 2027. It could be a while before we see OLED displays on its non-Pro laptops and tablets.
