In the recently premiered Morocco episode of JETOUR’s Adventure of Extremes Season 2, world-renowned explorer Ed Stafford drives the JETOUR G700 deep into the Sahara Desert. Across shifting landscapes of sand dunes, rocky desert terrain and dry riverbeds, the G700 faced the combined challenges of extreme heat and complex sandy conditions, pushing its desert capability to the absolute limit.
GAIA Architecture Enables Desert Traversal
Morocco’s Sahara presents a demanding mix of soft, shifting sand, rocky desert terrain and uneven dry riverbeds, where getting stuck, underbody contact and repeated impacts are common off-road challenges. Built on the GAIA all-terrain off-road architecture, the JETOUR G700 is engineered to take them in its stride. Its high-rigidity body structure is designed to withstand repeated loads from rough terrain and sand impacts, while its approach, departure and breakover angles help minimize the risk of underbody contact when cresting dunes and traversing riverbeds. A wider track width, combined with large all-terrain tires, increases the contact area and improves stability, helping reduce the risk of getting stuck in soft sand.
The suspension system is also specifically tuned within the GAIA architecture, maintaining stable body attitude across undulating rocky terrain while filtering out smaller impacts. The G700’s desert off-road capability has already been demonstrated through a series of professional-level challenges. In December 2025, legendary driver Robby Gordon took the G700 to the Liwa Desert in the UAE, one of the world’s premier destinations for extreme dune driving. With precise power control and stable four-wheel-drive performance, the G700 tackled steep dunes and soft sand with ease.
At the Moab event in March 2026, the G700 completed some of Moab’s most demanding off-road trails, navigating complex mix of red-rock gravel and loose sand.
