HAMBURG, Germany, Sept. 21, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — XCHG Limited (“XCharge” or the “Company”) (Nasdaq: XCH), a global provider in high-power EV charging solutions, today informs that EnBW, operator of Germany’s largest fast-charging network, has launched the new XCharge C7 high-power charger within its nationwide fast charging network. The C7 chargers are now in operation at EnBW’s flagship charging site at its headquarters in Karlsruhe, Germany, as well as the EnBW fast charging hub in Nettetal near the Dutch border. Delivering up to 480 kW of charging power, the C7 is designed to support the next generation of electric vehicles with ever-higher charging capabilities.

The deployment follows the long-term partnership announced by EnBW and XCharge in February 2026. The agreement was based on a successful field test in which XCharge charging stations demonstrated their reliability, performance, and safety across tens of thousands of charging sessions.

Albina Iljasov, Co-CEO of XCharge, said: “With the new C7, we have introduced a product to the European market that reliably meets the demanding technical requirements of charging network operators and their customers. We are pleased that our technology will now be deployed on an ongoing basis throughout EnBW’s fast charging network, allowing us to contribute to the continued advancement of electric mobility in Germany.”

Targeted Deployment Along Long-Distance Travel Routes

“Electric mobility will continue to develop rapidly over the coming years. That’s why we’re not only expanding our fast charging network in terms of scale, but also investing specifically in new charging technology that meets both our own high standards and the expectations of our customers. With XCharge’s new 480 kW charging systems, EV drivers in the EnBW charging network benefit from short charging times, advanced technology, and high reliability,” said Lars Jacobs, CCO and Acting CTO of EnBW’s e-mobility division.

EnBW already operates more than 9,000 fast charging points across Germany and continues to expand its network in line with demand across three key segments: long-distance travel, urban areas, and retail locations. Charging infrastructure requirements vary depending on the location.

“The new 480 kW charging technology will primarily be deployed at locations where customers typically spend only a short time and want to add as much driving range as possible during their stop—for example, at EnBW fast charging parks along Germany’s major highways,” Jacobs added.

Depending on the vehicle, the new 480 kW charging technology can deliver up to 640 km of driving range in just 20 minutes. EV drivers also benefit from the higher charging capacity through dynamic power allocation when two vehicles charge simultaneously at the same station. Depending on each vehicle’s charging capabilities, this can significantly reduce charging times and maximize charging performance.

By the end of 2026, EnBW plans to bring a further double-digit number of fast charging parks equipped with XCharge’s C7 480 kW charging technology online across Germany, marking another step in the continued expansion of one of Europe’s largest fast charging networks.
