Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant Donates $10,000 to Oklahoma Parkinson’s Alliance

DURANT, OKLA. (September 14, 2026) – This summer, Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant took the excitement of the “3 Months. 3 Millionaires.” promotion to the winners’ hometowns and presented a total of $30,000 in donations to charities of the winners’ choice.
Winners from the June 6, July 11 and August 22 drawings selected a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization in their community, and Choctaw Casino & Resort – Durant made a $10,000 donation to each charity in the winners’ name.
June’s winner, Douglas C., selected the Oklahoma Parkinson’s Alliance, which is the largest nonprofit Parkinson’s support organization in the state. It offers therapy, education and support to patients and their families.
Douglas said he benefited from speech classes offered by the Parkinson’s Alliance after his diagnosis in 2010. With Choctaw’s donation, he looks forward to reconnecting with the organization that has helped so many people living with Parkinson’s disease.
July’s winner selected the LOH Foundation based in Grand Prairie, Texas. The LOH Foundation, which stands for Love, Opportunity and Hope, was founded on the belief that every act of kindness has the potential to change a life. The organization is dedicated to job creation, educational scholarships, and helping local community nonprofits fund lasting, impactful community initiatives.

This donation is a vote of confidence in our mission and in the work we do throughout the community,” said Matthew Loh, chairman, LOH Foundation. “The donation will be used to expand outreach and support education programs and cultural events that bring diverse communities together.”
The August winner from Kingston, Oklahoma selected Feeding Hope in Durant, Oklahoma, as the charity to receive a $10,000 donation.
Feeding Hope’s mission is to enhance the lives of those in the community by providing hot meals, clothing, showers, laundry, seasonal relief from extreme weather, and connections to community resources that help those they serve move toward stability and self-sufficiency.
“Feeding Hope is a community donation-driven organization, and this donation helps us keep the lights on, helps us buy food, and it helps us buy all the materials we need to distribute to the people we serve,” says Mark Mesiti-Miller, Feeding Hope board member. “This is such a generous gift. We are a young organization, and every dollar makes a difference here.”
