Rigorous, independent audit confirms Tria’s security controls meet the Department of War’s standard

Tria Federal Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification

Tria Federal today announced that it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2, the Department of War’s certification for contractors handling sensitive federal information.

ARLINGTON, Va., Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Tria Federal today announced that it has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2, the Department of War’s certification for contractors handling sensitive federal information.

Tria met the requirements of NIST SP 800-171 Revision 2 for protecting Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) during an independent, third-party audit.

“Achieving CMMC Level 2 demonstrates our team’s commitment to safeguarding sensitive information every day,” said Tria Federal CEO Tim Borchert. “For our customers, this certification is assurance that Tria’s systems, processes, and people meet the Department of War’s rigorous cybersecurity standard to protect the defense industrial base.”

The assessment, conducted by an authorized CMMC Third-Party Assessment Organization (C3PAO), included the examination of Tria’s security controls and operating procedures, testing of technical configurations, and evaluation of Tria’s policies and processes.

For federal agencies, security is the foundation for mission success and public trust. Tria delivers secure, scalable, and resilient solutions that power real-time decision-making, ensure interoperability across agencies, and comply with the highest standards of cybersecurity and mission assurance.

Tria’s Security team helps agencies stay ahead of evolving threats through proactive risk management, threat detection, and compliance with modern standards. The company partners with organizations to build secure software, audit risks, and track vulnerabilities, providing tailored solutions that fit unique needs.

With Tria on your side, you gain stronger defenses, clear visibility, and confidence that your cybersecurity measures are keeping pace with today’s challenges.
