HAIKOU, China, Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — From September 7 to 8, a Hainan economic and trade delegation visited Oman to conduct economic and trade exchanges, inspect industrial parks, and facilitate business matchmaking. The delegation signed a Memorandum of Friendly Cooperation with the Chinese Community Club of Oman.
At the economic and trade exchange meeting held on September 8, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Hainan Provincial Committee (CCPIT Hainan) signed a Memorandum of Friendly Cooperation with the Chinese Community Club of Oman. The two sides will establish regular channels of communication, provide information and matchmaking support for Hainan enterprises seeking to develop in Oman, and offer services for the Omani business community to learn about the Hainan Free Trade Port and participate in Hainan’s development.
Hainan is an island province in southern China that is advancing the development of a free trade port and seeking to expand economic and trade ties with the Middle East. During the visit, the delegation conducted an on-site inspection of Khazaen Economic City in Oman to learn about the local business environment and industrial policies. The delegation also visited Oman’s Synergy Group to connect with local capital and market resources and promote the development opportunities of the Hainan Free Trade Port.
The delegation also visited the Chinese Enterprises Association in Oman and Golden Dragon Group to learn about the local business environment, market access rules, and consumer demand, gathering information and facilitating resource connections for accompanying enterprises seeking to expand their import and export trade, commercial circulation, and other businesses.
The enterprises accompanying the delegation included Hainan Finance Group Co., Ltd., China Merchants Financial Services (Hainan) Investment Group Co., Ltd., Hainan Quanheng Industrial Co., Ltd., and Hainan Shenrui Technology Industrial Co., Ltd., among others.
A representative of CCPIT Hainan stated that, taking this visit and the signing of the memorandum as an opportunity, the council will strengthen exchanges with the Chinese Community Club of Oman, the Omani business community, and relevant business associations to promote the sharing of economic and trade information, mutual visits between enterprises, and project matchmaking. The organization said the visit was aimed at helping Hainan enterprises tap into the Middle Eastern market and attracting Omani enterprises to visit and invest in Hainan.
