North Bethesda, Md., Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Bright MLS today announced the creation of a new AI-powered learning platform designed to help Bright subscribers build the skills needed to work effectively in an increasingly AI-driven industry. Being developed in partnership with CYPHER Learning and slated to launch by the end of the year, the platform will bring Bright’s education, training and proprietary resources into a personalized learning environment and serve as the foundation for Bright’s new AI Academy.

At the center of the initiative, Bright’s AI Academy will be an ongoing learning program designed to help real estate professionals move from understanding AI to applying it in their day-to-day businesses. The goal isn’t simply to teach real estate professionals about AI, but to help them use it effectively in the work they already do.  The Academy will emphasize practical applications, including how professionals can use AI to improve productivity, strengthen client service, and adapt to changing industry practices. Unlike general-purpose platforms, Bright’s AI Academy will combine AI education with Bright’s proprietary industry knowledge, products, workflows and resources, giving real estate professionals access to learning designed specifically around the work they do.

Real estate professionals are navigating changes in technology, industry practices, and consumer expectations. At the same time, the information and training they need may be spread across videos, documents, webinars, and other resources. Through its partnership with CYPHER Learning, Bright will create a simpler and more personalized way for subscribers to access information, strengthen their skills, and get more value from the tools available to them.
“AI is changing how real estate professionals work, but having access to AI tools is only the beginning,” said Brian Donnellan, President and CEO of Bright MLS. “Our responsibility as an MLS is to help professionals understand how to use these technologies effectively and apply them to their businesses. The AI Academy gives us a way to make that education practical, personalized and continuously evolving as the technology changes.”
The new platform will bring Bright’s product education, on-demand training, live webinars, resources and certification programs into a single environment. Powered by CYPHER, the platform will personalize training based on each subscriber’s role and needs, provide conversational access to information from Bright’s proprietary resources, and allow Bright’s experts to rapidly turn existing documents, presentations, videos and other materials into structured learning experiences.
“Real estate professionals need more than access to new AI tools—they need the knowledge and confidence to use them effectively,” said John Mazur, CEO of CYPHER Learning. “Bright understands this opportunity and has the industry expertise to turn AI-enabled learning into practical value for its subscribers.”
The platform is expected to become available to Bright subscribers by the end of the year. Initial capabilities will include:

  • Centralized access to product training, educational resources and live learning opportunities
  • Personalized course and content recommendations
  • AI-assisted access to information drawn from Bright’s resources & knowledge base
  • Self-paced learning, assessments and certificates of completion
  • Tools that allow Bright experts to develop and update educational content more quickly

Bright plans to expand the Academy over time as new AI tools, technologies and real estate use cases emerge. The company also expects to explore customized versions of the platform for brokerages, giving them the opportunity to provide their agents with the same type of personalized, industry-specific learning environment without having to build and maintain their own systems.
