The newly designed Official CCU Ring serves as a tangible symbol of this history, incorporating key elements that honor the University’s heritage. Prominently featured on the ring top is the Atheneum — the iconic campus dome and classical columns — set above the waves of the Atlantic, paying homage to CCU’s coastal roots. The ring also displays the year 1954 to commemorate the institution’s founding, as well as the official motto, Ex Libertate Veritas, translating from Latin to mean “From Liberty, Truth.”
Students can further customize their ring to tell their own Chant story. Custom side panels offer options to showcase Chauncy the Chanticleer, the South Carolina Palmetto, the famed “CINO” anthem or bold CCU lettering. Combined with customizable metal and stone options, the Official Ring provides alumni with an enduring personal keepsake of their achievements and a lifelong connection to their alma mater.
