“More than a Data Lake Graveyard: Utilization, Enablement, and Value Across the Data Lifecycle” panel at KLAS DHIS

Clearsense CEO Jason Rose will join the “More than a Data Lake Graveyard: Utilization, Enablement, and Value Across the Data Lifecycle” panel at the KLAS Digital Health Investment Symposium (DHIS) in Park City, Utah, at 9:00 am MDT on September 2, 2026.

Industry leaders will explore how healthcare organizations can transform data into actionable insights to improve operational and financial performance and create a stronger foundation for future innovation.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Clearsense®, a leading healthcare data enablement platform company, today announced that CEO Jason Rose will join the “More than a Data Lake Graveyard: Utilization, Enablement, and Value Across the Data Lifecycle” panel at the KLAS Digital Health Investment Symposium (DHIS) in Park City, Utah, at 9:00 am MDT on September 2, 2026.

The discussion, which is being moderated by KLAS Research, will focus on how healthcare organizations can move beyond simply collecting and storing data to create meaningful value across the data lifecycle. Panelists will offer practical frameworks for reducing technical debt, shrinking operational expenses, and transforming archived records into a strategic data asset.

“AI, cloud migrations, and consolidation are pushing health systems into another major application portfolio modernization cycle,” said Jason Z. Rose, CEO of Clearsense. “Organizations cannot afford to carry decades of redundant applications, technical debt, and unnecessary spend. Rationalizing the application portfolio, retiring superfluous systems, and creating a unified archive can reduce costs while turning historical data into a strategic resource for AI, analytics, and future innovation.”

A recent survey of CHIME-member CIOs and health IT leaders found that 76% viewed portfolio management as important or critical to their overall strategy. Yet 80% have not fully implemented a program. That gap is becoming more consequential as health systems modernize core platforms, migrate data centers to the cloud, and consolidate technology environments. Rationalizing the portfolio before those transitions can help organizations avoid moving and maintaining applications they no longer need, while preserving the historical data required for clinical, financial, and operational continuity.

The role of the archive is changing as well. Gartner predicts that by 2031, 70% of large enterprises will make the archive, rather than production applications, the primary home for historical data, up from 40% in 2026. That shift requires archives to do more than support retention and lookup. Historical data must be accessible, governed, and usable for analytics, AI, and other enterprise priorities.
