Trump Media, the company behind Truth Social, is selling Wall Street faster access to the “most market-moving” posts on the US President’s social media platform. On Thursday, Trump Media announced plans to launch “Truth API,” a licensed real time data feed for businesses that provides “the fastest access to Truth Social’s most influential accounts.” It goes live on August 1st.

Similar APIs are common across other social media networks, but those aren’t as fraught with conflicts of interest. While Trump Media hasn’t disclosed how much the API service will cost, it stands to benefit the Trump family, with them being the largest shareholder in the publicly traded company.

In a statement, interim Trump Media CEO Kevin McGurn said that “markets already move on Truth Social posts,” and that the company expects Truth API “to become a meaningful, ongoing source of revenue.”

President Donald Trump is the most followed user on Truth Social, and regularly uses the platform to announce official communications before they’re posted to other platforms. He currently has 12.9 million followers, with accounts for his sons, FBI director Kash Patel, and the White House also ranking highly with millions of followers.

“Truth API uses familiar, industry-standard delivery methods to deliver Truth Social posts to our customers in milliseconds,” Trump Media said in its announcement. “It is expected to provide continuous 24/7 coverage and includes a historical archive of posts dating back to 2022.”
