23-Unit Taco Bell Franchisee Selects Oscar AI to Turn Restaurant Data Into Real-Time Profit Action

Oscar AI unifies fragmented sales, labor and operational reporting, giving executives, district leaders and store managers role-specific actions to improve performance.

WASHINGTON, Aug. 31, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Oscar AI, an AI-powered data analysis and operational intelligence platform for multi-unit businesses, today announced that O&M Restaurant Group, an Oklahoma-based, 23-unit Taco Bell franchisee has selected Oscar AI to help its restaurant leaders identify and act on opportunities to improve sales, margins, labor efficiency and store-level performance.

The deployment reflects a growing challenge across the restaurant industry: operators have more data than ever, but much of it remains spread across disconnected point-of-sale, labor, inventory, scheduling, guest feedback and financial systems. Executives and field teams can spend hours compiling and interpreting reports, often learning about preventable performance issues only after their financial impact has already been realized.

Oscar AI brings that information together, analyzes it in real time and converts it into clear, role-specific actions. Rather than giving every user another dashboard to interpret, Oscar delivers the information each level of an organization needs to act: portfolio-wide trends for executives, prioritized locations for district leaders and specific issues for store managers to address that day.

“Multi-unit restaurant operators don’t need more reports, they need to know what is happening, why it is happening and what action will make a difference,” said Quratul-Ann Malik, founder of Oscar AI. “Oscar connects the information already residing across an operator’s technology stack and turns it into practical direction for the people running the business. Our goal is simple: help every location become more profitable, every morning.”

From Disconnected Reports to Coordinated Action

Oscar AI automatically aggregates store-level data and monitors performance across critical areas of the business. The platform can identify issues such as unusual voids and discounts, sales anomalies, labor inefficiencies, compliance concerns, product availability problems and changes in customer sentiment.

Oscar then analyzes the relationships behind those results and directs the appropriate action to the appropriate person. An executive may see a performance pattern developing across a region, while a district leader receives a prioritized list of stores requiring attention. At the restaurant level, a general manager can receive a specific alert identifying a labor variance, inventory discrepancy, service issue or other opportunity to address.

Because each alert includes the underlying reasoning and threshold that triggered it, operators can understand not only what changed, but why Oscar is recommending a particular response.

“Oscar gives our team a much clearer and faster understanding of where the opportunities are across our restaurants,” said Tim Morgan, COO for O&M Restaurant Group, a Taco Bell Franchisee. “Instead of spending valuable time pulling information from different systems and trying to determine what it means, our leaders can focus on the locations and actions that will have the greatest impact. It helps us move from reviewing the business after the fact to improving it while there is still time to make a difference.”

Measurable Operational and Financial Impact

Oscar AI customers typically realize approximately $10,000 per store annually in improved profitability through faster detection and correction of operational issues. Customer results and use cases have also included:

  • A 2% period-over-period improvement in gross profit
  • An average 26-second reduction in drive-thru time
  • Approximately 40 minutes per day saved on compiling reports
  • Improved customer satisfaction scores
  • Faster identification of sales, margin, labor and compliance issues

Now successfully deployed in thousands of restaurants, Oscar works with franchise operators across leading restaurant concepts, including Taco Bell, Burger King, Dunkin’, Popeyes, Sonic, Subway, Arby’s, Jimmy John’s, Potbelly and Baskin-Robbins.

The platform integrates with widely used restaurant technology providers. Oscar can also ingest information from spreadsheets, PDFs, flat files, APIs, SFTP connections and direct database integrations, allowing operators to gain a unified view of the business.

Most implementations can be completed within 30 days and require no new staff or dedicated data analyst to manage the platform.

“Our customers already possess the data needed to operate more profitably,” Malik added. “The missing piece is the ability to connect it, understand it and get the right action into the right person’s hands quickly. Oscar provides that intelligence without asking operators to replace the systems they already use or add more administrative work.”

About Oscar AI
Oscar AI provides real-time, actionable intelligence from restaurant financial and store-level reporting to help brands and franchise operators improve profitability. The platform automatically unifies information from disconnected systems, identifies sales and margin opportunities, explains the factors driving performance and routes role-specific actions to executives, district leaders and store managers.

Oscar AI helps multi-unit organizations replace manual reporting and fragmented analysis with a coordinated system of intelligence and action, allowing their teams to address opportunities sooner, operate more consistently and focus on the work that drives revenue and profitability.
